A site inspection or "Initial Inspection", which is an analysis of the HVAC equipment including operating performance checks, is always necessary to sign-up for the Cool Club. In some circumstances, the site inspection can be accomplished at the same time as other services, like repairs, at no additional cost.
However, if a stand-alone service is required to perform the Initial Inspection, a Service Fee of up to $89 may apply. If you choose to sign-up for the Cool Club after the Initial Inspection, the $89 will be discounted to the new discounted Service Fee rate, which is as low as $39. Even better, if you choose to pay up-front for the initial two year agreement, the Initial Inspection Service Fee will be completely disregarded.
All Cool Club Memberships begin with a two-year maintenance agreement. Customers who choose the monthly payment option will be billed 24 times during the first two year agreement. Customers who choose the annual payment option will be billed twice during the first two year agreement. Customers can also choose to pay for the first two years up-front. In some circumstances, there may be a pro-rated early cancellation fee if a customer decides to cancel the Membership in the first two years. Please see the FAQ about our early cancellation fee. After the first two-year agreement is complete there is no cancellation fee and customers will be able to renew their Cool Club Membership monthly or annually.
Not always. In fact, in some circumstances, you could get a partial refund.
All customers are free to cancel their membership during the first two years, however, in some circumstances there could be a cost to do so. For example: a brand new membership customer on a monthly payment plan option that has already received significant discounts on repairs and already received an on-site maintenance visit would have a higher cancellation fee than a customer who chose to pay annually and has received no discounts or services. The second customer may even get a partial refund.
Read on for the the full early cancellation policy, which includes the first two years only:
For each membership activation, there is an initial non-refundable commitment of $240 per system. This cost covers the purchase, installation and monitoring of the SmartAC system for two years. You can continue to use the Smart AC system and app after cancellation, although it will no longer be connected to MV Air Tech.
IF NO MV Air Tech discounts have been realized AND NO maintenance services have been performed, THEN any amount that you have paid toward the Membership will be applied toward the $240 per system and the remaining amount, if any, would be the total early cancellation fee. On the other hand, any amount that you have paid over $240 per system will be refunded to you.
However, IF discounts (including discounted repairs and service fees) have been realized, THEN the total amount of discounts received will be due and added to the early cancellation fee. Also, IF any included maintenance services have been completed, THEN the normal cost of the service(s) will be due and added to the early cancellation fee. Any amount that you have paid toward the Membership will be applied toward the sum of $240 per system and these fees. The remaining amount will be the total early cancellation fee. On the other hand, any amount that you have paid over the sum of $240 per system and these fees, will be refunded to you.
Partial refund or Early cancellation fee = Membership dues paid - ($240 + discounts received + maintenance visits)
Please note, customers who are found to be looking for a partial refund loophole by cancelling in the later stages of the initial two-year agreement (now that they know they didn't any need significant repair discounts), will not be refunded.
Not at all. Keep in mind - there will also be no refunds for membership cancellations after the first two years.
Please contact me with an email at paul@mvairtech.com with "Cancel" in the subject line, and include your account information and your reason for cancellation in the body of the email. I will respond in a timely manner with your early cancellation fee or partial refund, if there is any. Once you have paid any amount that is due, the membership is cancelled.
Please note, your reason for cancellation should not be that your system(s) have not needed enough repairs to justify the cost of the maintenance program. Remember, the whole point of preventative and predictive maintenance is to avoid those repairs in the first place whenever possible. Also, customers who are found to be looking for a partial refund loophole by cancelling in the later stages of the initial two-year agreement (now that they know they didn't any need significant repair discounts), will not be refunded.
No, it is not real cash. Comfort Credits can be earned by Cool Club Members through sign-up bonuses or monthly credits, but they cannot be redeemed for cash or any other payment. They can however, save Cool Club Members a significant amount of real dollars off of their repair bill if something unexpectedly breaks down under MV Air Tech's watch.
There is no cap to what you can earn. You earn a one time sign-up bonus of Comfort Credits, and then you earn monthly Comfort Credits for as long as you are a member. Credits are earned per membership account, not per system. Gold Members earn the most Comfort Credits. A ten-year Gold Level Cool Club Member could have earned $1400.00 in Comfort Credits and counting!
Comfort Credits can only be used at Moapa Valley Air Tech, and only for major HVAC repairs in which the total amount of the invoice is over $3500. Since all our Cool Club Members already enjoy automatic repair discounts through MV Air Tech, it is important to understand that the total amount due must be more than $3500 AFTER any repair discounts are applied.
It is also important to understand that Comfort Credits can be used for "major" repairs only. Usually, this is an unexpected breakdown, or a series of breakdowns leaving a system providing less than acceptable comfort in the home. Major repair(s) due to breakdown(s) unexpectedly affecting the operation of the system ARE eligible. However, any repairs (including "major" repairs) that are recommended by MV Air Tech prior to, or as a result of the Initial Inspection and/or the first On-site/In-person Maintenance Visit are NOT eligible. Also, a major project, or a group of multiple repairs that include minor repair(s) which add up to over $3500, are NOT be eligible.
Finally, Comfort Credits can only be used on repairs, or services on parts and pieces of equipment, not the replacement of the equipment itself. Repairs that include materials only or the replacing and installing of parts like components, motors, coils, capacitors, control boards, dampers etc. ARE eligible. However, replacement or installation of indoor equipment like ductwork, air handlers, furnaces, etc. are NOT eligible. Replacement or installation of outdoor equipment like condensers, heat pumps and package units are also NOT eligible.

The SmartAC Monitoring hardware was designed to work for homes with central air. If your home has ductwork and vents where the air comes out, you’re good to go.
Internet is required for the sensors to be able to monitor your HVAC system. A smartphone is needed for you to track system performance in the app. The only situation the app may not be necessary is if MV Air Tech installed the sensors and we’re the only one tracking system health for you.
Each SmartAC Monitoring sensor kit has the hardware required to monitor one AC & Heating system. If you have multiple systems you’d like to track the health of, we can utilize additional kits to do so.
Yes! Each hub can handle up to 5 additional water sensors, for a maximum of 8 sensors per hub.
SmartAC Monitoring was designed to be compatible with all thermostats. Your thermostat will continue to turn the unit on and off based on your comfort settings.
The SmartAC Monitoring hub and sensors are designed to be extremely secure and do not control any devices or act as a payment solution. No personal or payment information is stored or communicated on any of our devices. Read more about security.
During setup, we will be able to select your vent and filter styles. All vents and air filters are compatible with SmartAC Monitoring.
Yes! Bronze, Silver, and Gold Members enjoy filter ordering straight to your door at everyday low prices. Plus, as a Silver or Gold Member, an annual voucher can be earned to instantly save even more when you order filters through the app. Then the app will track the health of that filter so we can keep your system running smoothly and efficiently.
The Diagnostic / Service Fee is generally due any time their is a new service call in which MV Air Tech shows up to your house. This includes most repair service calls, inspections, diagnosis calls, and some estimates. This does not include pre-paid maintenance visits that are included in Cool Club Memberships or return visits to finish up a job.
The standard Diagnostics / Service Fee is $89. Cool Club Members enjoy discounted Diagnostics / Service Fees, with Gold Members enjoying $50 off!
Cool Club Members have added peace of mind after MV Air Tech has completed repairs on their system thanks to the Extended Warranty benefit. If something should go wrong with the repair, MV Air Tech will cover the labor that is required to make it right for an extended amount of time. Bronze, Silver and Gold Members enjoy a 2-Year Extended Warranty on all repairs by MV Air Tech!
Standard manufacturer's warranties still apply for all parts and equipment.
Front-of-the-Line Scheduling, which is enjoyed by all Bronze, Silver and Gold Cool Club Members, guarantees a quick response time and arrival time for Emergency Service calls during peak seasons. It also guarantees your spot on the schedule will not be given to someone else, no matter what it is for.
With Front-of-the-Line Scheduling, during hot and cold seasons we will respond to your Emergency Service request within 24 hours, with a confirmed appointment for service within 72 hours, guaranteed. If we don't get back to you, or we can't make it in that time, we will pay $100 towards any repairs you receive from another licensed contractor, and we will inspect your system after it is completed for free.
Priority Scheduling is a benefit of Cool Club Members who do not qualify for Front-of-the-Line Scheduling guarantees when it comes to Emergency Service calls, but still enjoy a level of priority over customers who have not joined yet.
For those who are not Bronze, Silver or Gold Members, the fee for an Emergency Callout Service on a weekend or holiday is $89, plus the standard Diagnostic / Service Fee of $89.
Bronze, Silver and Gold Cool Club Members do not pay extra for weekends or holidays and will only pay their discounted Diagnostic / Service Fee rate, which is as low as $39.
